A Day in the Life of a Care Options for Kids Therapist

Begin your day by accessing your schedule on the company-provided iPad; you tap "En Route" for your initial visit. The program notifies the first family of your impending arrival and pulls up the most efficient route with directions to your session. Pulling up to a family's home in your company vehicle, the young one eagerly awaits your presence and warmly welcomes you. With a smile, she reaches out for a hug, sneakily trying to glimpse at the activities you've brought for her today. Each day unfolds as a new adventure, today you opt for outdoor therapy beneath the sun and passing clouds.

Engaging in playful activities tailored to the goals set collaboratively with the family, your interventions may appear as play to a casual observer, yet you're orchestrating transformative moments for this child. Witnessing progress in every session is the gratifying aspect that fuels your love for the job.

Throughout the session, you involve the caregiver, illustrating how to continue the provided interventions between sessions. The synergy between you and the caregiver(s) forms an incredible team, working harmoniously to achieve established goals and more. Post-session, you document the outcomes on your iPad in the EMR, bid a warm farewell with a hug, and click "En Route" to your next assignment.

Regardless of the day's events, you have enhanced your clinical expertise while positively shaping the lives of your patients and their loved ones.
