Care Options for Kids is proud to announce that Mallory Rotondo, M.S., CCC-SLP, CLC, has been promoted to Clinical Director of the Idaho Market.

In her new role, Mallory will lead all clinical efforts as we work to expand our Care Options for Kids community of care in Idaho. We are excited to begin serving families in Boise and the surrounding areas. Mallory also specializes in feeding, and will oversee the Feeding Mentorship Program, which supports clinicians in providing evidence-based pediatric feeding therapy services to our children.

“I am so excited to lead the Care Options for Kids expansion into Idaho! I love challenging myself and seeking adventure, so moving to Boise to establish our team felt intuitively right. I look forward to building a team of strong clinicians to serve children and families here in Idaho," adds Rotondo.

“We are thrilled to expand our exceptional therapy services to Idaho, offering unparalleled support to families and outstanding employment opportunities for therapists. Our commitment to excellence ensures that both our families and our team experience the highest standards of care and professional growth. We are excited to embark on this new journey and make a positive impact in the Idaho community.” adds Darcie Peacock, Care Options for Kids President, Therapy+ Division.

For the past three years Rotondo has served as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Solace Pediatric Healthcare, a Care Options for Kids company. She maintained a full-time caseload while providing feeding and speech-language assessment and intervention to children 0-18 years via telehealth and in-home visits.

In addition, Mallory served as Feeding Team Lead in which she was responsible for designing, constructing, and implementing Solace’s first Feeding Mentorship Program (FMP), a 12-week clinical education program designed to train SLPs, OTs, and COTAs in evidence-based practices necessary to treat pediatric feeding disorders in the home health setting independently. She continues to lead and manage a team of 12 clinical mentors within this program, supporting individual caseload needs and tailoring learning opportunities to maximize the feeding program experience.

Mallory leads monthly Clinical Rounds Discussion Groups and created an online learning platform through Google Classroom that includes 10+ hours of recorded learning modules specific to pediatric feeding disorders and home health. Since the program’s onset in 2022, over 70 Solace clinicians have participated and enhanced their pediatric feeding skill set. Mallory and Solace Pediatric Healthcare colleague, Megan Gardner, M.S., CCC-SLP, presented at the national level on the successful outcomes of this program at the 2023 ASHA National Convention in Boston, MA.

Prior to her role at Solace, Rotondo served as an SLP at Coastal Healthcare Services (Washington, D.C.) where she provided early intervention feeding, speech and language therapy for infants and toddlers (0-3 years) in the natural learning environment and via telemedicine.

Mallory also co-designed and implemented the organization’s first Pediatric Feeding Group, a six-month virtual program designed to support the clinical team in expanding evidence-based skill sets through online lectures, collaborative discussions, and opportunities for observation.

A recipient of the 2021 ASHA Distinguished Early Career Professional award, Mallory was selected to participate in Solace Pediatric Healthcare’s Leadership Development Cohort, a six-week program aimed at developing emerging leaders and expanding leadership opportunities.

She received both her Bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Purdue University.
