With the advent of a new year, we get to meet many new friends. Is your resolution to get your child in for an evaluation for a speech, language, occupational therapy, or a feeding concern? We're happy to meet you! While these first few weeks of January are busy for us, we've all enjoyed the time off we had over winter break. We find ourselves rested and ready to put kids first in 2019!

Each month, our craft maven Carla set us up with a fun craft. This time, it's clothespin pals! This project helps kids practice fine motor skills with tracing and cutting, plus they can exercise their creativity and individuality, too. Once finished, the clothespin pal can help practice their speech sounds and conversation skills. Super cute!

Blue: Speech therapy is the best!
Pink: OT is the most fun!

Lori is supervising a graduate student from Portland State University. We hope you get a chance to meet Emily on one of your upcoming visits. We love the support we get from our families in helping the next generation of speech-language pathologists learn and gain real-world experience with our clinicians.

We're also pleased when we can collaborate with experts in the field. In late December, Dr. Kerry Mandulak of Pacific University visited the clinic and consulted with one of our clients. It was such an honor to have Kerry share her expertise.

Is simplifying your family life a goal for 2019? Ask your clinician if online speech therapy is right for you. We are now scheduling teletherapy on Sunday mornings and afternoons. Have you heard that we are now able to submit teletherapy claims to two of our network providers: Moda and Blue Cross? Let us know if online speech therapy on Sundays might work for your family. We're always glad to talk.
